Women Helping Women Hong Kong
(WHWHK) was established in 2010 as a non-profit charitable organization to assist underprivileged women and children facing domestic violence and abuse in Hong Kong.
It is a platform for philanthropists and like-minded women to gather and raise funds to create effective educational and interventional programs, including psychotherapy and group workshops, to help families to overcome crisis.
Since 2016, WHWHK Programs have reached out to more than 45,000 women and children. Operating at low costs, the organization continues to direct 100% of all funds raised to their programs each year. The goal is to continue these programs and help many more women and children facing violence.
With Twopresents’ support WHWHK aims to expand its reach. It hopes to increase awareness about its anti-violence activities in Hong Kong and allow more people to get involved by supporting and spreading the word about its worthy cause.
WHWHK is currently working closely with RainLily on a 2 year campaign on gender based violence for youths. Through this program, the organization aims to raise awareness among young people about sexual harassment, bullying and rape. WHWHK collaborates with local celebrities, athletes and artists to creatively deliver this message and encourages them to take action to protect themselves or others when incidents of gender based violence occur.
WHWHK encourages families to join together in raising awareness against violence by being donors and sponsors. Building awareness is the first step toward building a safer community. WHWHK welcomes everyone to attend its events which help raise funds for these programs and take a stance for anti-violence.
